Dr. Kim Abrego, PT, DPT built Endura for a very specific kind of woman: high-achieving, high-functioning, and quietly exhausted by success that was supposed to feel better than it does. In the first episode of the Endura Podcast, Kim opens up about why she built the brand, what shaped it, and the philosophy that sits underneath everything Endura teaches.

Kim's background spans two worlds that don't usually intersect. She spent 25 years in consulting, eventually building and selling her company. At the same time, she carries a doctorate in physical therapy and has competed as a professional bodybuilder. Endura exists at the intersection of those two worlds, executive performance and physical and emotional wellness, built specifically for women trying to hold both.

The Endura Method rests on three pillars: Lift, Love, and Luxe. Lift is the physical foundation: movement, sleep, and nutrition, the non-negotiables that make everything else possible. Love is the relational pillar, covering how you treat yourself as well as your closest relationships and your wider community. Luxe is about designed joy: the rituals and small indulgences that make a hard-won life actually feel worth living.

Each pillar has a real story behind it. Lift came out of a teenage mental health crisis that led to two hospitalizations, and eventually to Kim building the behaviors and routines that carried her forward. Love took shape around her younger brother's brain cancer diagnosis at age 30, and the five years that followed. Luxe was born much more recently, out of the sudden loss of Kim's best friend, and the realization that none of us are guaranteed later.

Perhaps the most striking idea in this episode is Kim's reframe of the hero's journey for women. Where the classic narrative rewards “slaying dragons” and reaching the top, Kim argues that women often have to migrate away from who they are at their core in order to achieve conventional success, and then feel strangely empty when they get there. Endura's answer to that gap is its guiding belief: success should expand your life, not exhaust it.

This episode is an introduction, not a deep dive, each pillar gets its own full episode next. But it lays the groundwork for everything that follows: who Kim is, why she built Endura, and what she wants every woman listening to walk away believing about their own success.
